The origins of our philosophy
When PIQUANT GmbH was founded in 2013 by Managing Director Dr. Gazi Barut, he had a clear goal for his company: To train young people with potential and turn them into IT experts.
Dr. Gazi Barut previously worked as an IT consultant and lecturer at IBM for over 15 years and was able to bring a great deal of expertise from there, both in IT and as a mentor. At PIQUANT, he was able to successfully implement his concept and more than 15 employees have been trained in his own company in Cologne to date. In addition to an accredited IHK trainer, PIQUANT also has an excellent IT infrastructure consisting of Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, SAP and on-premise technology to support training in various IT specialisms.
From assessment to the trainee programme
We attach great importance to specific further training after graduation.
Each of our employees can filter their strengths, weaknesses and special interests in an assessment, on the basis of which a tailor-made trainee programme is developed. This gives them the opportunity to compensate for deficits and become an expert in specialised areas. These competences are deepened and consolidated in company-internal, practice-related projects, so that many of the project results have become indispensable in day-to-day work.
After 8 - 12 months, the trainee programme ends with the acquisition of at least one certificate. During the training and preparation period, PIQUANT, as an officially recognised IHK training company, can provide the best basis for successful learning and a good qualification.

Getting started with the first project
Only when the trainee programme has been successfully completed and the new employee has become an expert in their specialist area, they are placed in a suitable project. There, the customer can be professionally supported with the specific expertise.
Even after the initial training, the learning never stops. We believe in continuous development and the targeted promotion of young talent.
